Jiujiang Railway Station

Jiujiang Railway Station is about 3.4 miles (5.5 kilometers) from Dazhong Pedestrian Street (city center) and 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Mt. Lushan National Park. It is the starting point of the Nanchang-Jiujiang Intercity High-Speed Railway. Currently, it has high-speed trains to/from Nanchang, Hangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen and ordinary ones to/from Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xian, Zhengzhou, Guilin, etc.

Rebuilt in 1996, Jiujiang Railway Station is currently the second largest railway station in Jiangxi Province. It mainly consists of a terminal building, platforms and rail lines, and a square. The terminal building has two floors for public use, with entrances and waiting halls in the middle, ticket office on the south side and exits on the north side. The waiting halls are equipped with toilets and hot drinking water for passengers’ convenience. The platforms and rail lines are located just to the east of the terminal building. There are altogether 9 platforms and 19 rail lines there. In front of the terminal building is a square, with bus stops to its northwest and southwest, taxi stands along the Changhong Avenue in front of it, and restaurants and hotels around it.

Get Onboard

 By Bus: 4, 5, 12, 15, 18, 23, 25, 27, 101, 103, 105, 106, 108, 502
 By Taxi:
From/ To Dazhong Pedestrian Street: About10 minutes and CNY12.
From/ To Jiujiang Coach Station: About 7 minutes and CNY10.
Note: Many taxis waiting at the railway square are illegal and drivers do not use meters. Passengers are advised to walk a little further to the main road in front of the railway station to catch a taxi.

Transport to other sites from the railway station:
 To Dazhong Pedestrian Street: Take bus no.5 to the Mosque, or 25 to Yanshuiting, and then walk there.
 To Mt. Lushan National Park: Take bus 5, 23 or 27 to Jiujiang Coach Station, then change to a coach to get there. The coach departs about every 30 minutes from 07:00 to 17:30. Ticket fare is CNY 15.5. It takes about one hour to reach Guling Town, center of the scenic area.
 To Nanchang Changbei International Airport: Also take a city bus to the Coach Station first, and then change to the airport bus to get there. The airport bus departs at 06:10, 07:00, 07:50, 08:40, 09:30, 10:10, 10:50, 11:30, 12:10, 13:10, 14:00, 15:40, 16:20, 17:10, 18:00, and 18:50. Ticket fare is CNY62 and duration is about 100 minutes.
