Wuhu Xuancheng Airport


Wuhu Xuancheng Airport is built to serve the public in Wuhu City and Xuancheng City. It is scheduled to be put into use in December, 2020. According to the plan, it will build a terminal building with an area of 15,000 square meters (17,950 square yards), a runway of 2,800 meters (3,100 yards) long and 45 meters (50 yards) wide and 11 parking aprons. After completion, it will be able to handle the passenger throughput of 1.2 million and the cargo of 10,000 tons.

 Location: Wuhu Airport is located in Xiaozhuang Village, Wanzhi Town, Wuhu County, Wuhu City, Anhui Province, which is about 38 kilometers (24 miles) to downtown Wuhu and about 21 kilometers (13 miles) to downtown Xuancheng.

How to Fly to Wuhu Now?

Step 1: Fly to Nanjing Airport

Nanjing Lukou Airport has opened more than 135 domestic air routes and more than 20 international air routes covering most domestic cities like Beijing, Shanghai and international cities in Asia, Europe, America and Australia. It is about 80 kilometers (50 miles) to Wuhu City and the ways to Wuhu are as follows.
 

Step 2: Transfer from Nanjing Airport to Wuhu

 2. Airport Shuttle Bus + Train
A: Transfer at Nanjing Railway Station
Take airport shuttle bus from airport to Nanjing Railway Station directly. Then take a train to Wuhu. There are 15 trains to Wuhu each day from 01:32 to 22:08. The duration is 1.5 – 2.5 hours and the ticket fare is CNY 19.5/person for hard seat, CNY 65.5/person for hard sleeper seat and CNY 99.5/person for soft sleeper seat.

B: Transfer at Nanjing South Railway Station
Metro line S1 can arrive at South Railway Station directly from Nanjing Airport. This railway station operates 27 high speed trains to Wuhu from 07:00 to 22:30 with a duration about 40 minutes. CNY 28 – 31.5/person is for second class seat, CNY 45 – 50.5/person for first class seat and CNY 94.5/person for business class seat.
 

Step 1: Fly to Hefei Airport

Hefei Airport is about 32 kilometers (20 miles) to downtown Hefei and about 177 kilometers (110 miles) to downtown Wuhu. Hefei Airport has flights to/from about 50 domestic cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen… and international flights to Korea, Japan, Thailand, Germany… Below are the transportation to Wuhu.
 

Step 2: Transfer from Hefei Airport to Wuhu

Timetable: 11:00, 13:00, 15:30, 18:00, 20:30
Route: Hefei Airport – Bantang – Wuhu Fantawild Xintiandi Shopping Mall
Duration: 2.5 hours

 2. Airport Shuttle Bus + Train
First, take airport shuttle bus line 1 from airport to Hefei Coach Station. After arrival, walk northwest for about 10 minutes to Hefei Railway Station. Then take a train to Wuhu. The 32 trains to Wuhu Railway Station run the whole day with a travel time of 1.5 – 2 hours. The ticket cost of a hard seat is CNY 23.5/person, a hard sleeper seat is CNY 69.5/person and a soft sleeper seat is CNY 104.5/person.
