Located in the west of Shenzhen, Bao’an District is under the jurisdiction of Shenzhen. It borders Longhua District on the east, Nanshan District on the south, and Guangming District on the north.  Shenzhen Phoenix Mountain(Fenghuang Mountain)
Phoenix Mountain is on the east bank of the Pearl River, known as the “First Peak of Bao’an”. The whole spot consists of three parts: Wenchang Tower, Ancient Temple and the sunset glow scenic area. While climbing the mountain, travelers can view the beautiful natural scenery, strange rocks, and visit historical relics in the temple, and then enjoy the sunset after climbing to the top.

 Rock Lake Resort
It is famous for its unique natural hot springs. The buildings are in Spanish style and the environment is quiet. With well-equipment facilities, travelers can not only experience the wonderful hot springs, but also taste local food, ride horses and watch fireworks performance.

 Yangtai Mountain
It is one of the eight scenic spots in Shenzhen and famous for its waterfall. The flowers are in full bloom in spring, and the summer is cool which makes it a good summer resort. On top of the mountain, you can overlook the scenery of Rock Lake. The Hiking Festival held on 9th September in Yangtai Mountain attracts many travelers.

 Zeng's Ancestral Hall & Complex
Located in Bao’an District, it is an ancestral building which is a place to worship ancestors of the Zeng Family. With greater influence and historical value, it represents the excellent cultural form of ancestral beliefs in Hakka culture. Travelers can visit the whole ancestral hall with the stone arch, and the granite stone architecture-the Stone Archway, and also enjoy the beautiful scenery and rich history.

The best time to visit Bao’an District Shenzhen is winter and early spring from December to March. During this time, the temperature is 15-21℃ (59-69.8℉) which is very suitable for travel. Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport is about 15 km (9.3 mi) from the central district, travelers can take Metro Line 11 to Bao’an District Shenzhen. Shenzhen North Railway Station and Shenzhen Futian Railway Station can be chosen too, Metro Line 5 and Line 11 are available to Bao’an District Shenzhen.
 
Within the district, Metro Lines 1, 4, 5, 11 are in service every day. The taxi charges CNY 10 for the first 2 km and CNY 2.6/km for subsequent distance. It costs about CNY 40-50 from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, CNY 60-70 from Shenzhen North Railway Station and CNY 65-75 from Futian Railway Station to the central district.
