Luobao Line

Shenzhen metro line 1, or Luobao Line, is one of the main subway lines of the city. It runs between Luohu Port/ Shenzhen Railway Station and Bao'an International Airport mainly in an east-west distribution, passing four core districts including Bao'an, Nanshan, Futian and Luohu. Popular Dongmen commercial area, Huaqiangbei business circle, as well as the tourist area of Overseas Chinese Town (OTC) are all on metro line 1. Luohu station is within walking distance of Lo Wu station on MTR East Rail Line in Hong Kong.

Luobao Line has a total length of 40.87 km (about 25.4 mi), including 30 stations. It runs from 05:45 to 00:06 with an interval of 2 mins in the peak hours and 5 mins 50 secs. in the non-peak hours on working days. The whole journey from Luohu port to the airport will take about 72 minutes with a fare of CNY 9.

 Shenzhen subway line 1 is not only a hot tourist line but also serves as a key commuting tool for locals; especially Gushu, Pingzhou, Shenzhen University, and Hi-Tech Park stations, as main hubs for commuters, see dense crowds during rush hours at 7:30-9:30 and 17:30-19:30 on working days. Long queues for security check often extend out of the metro station to ground.

 Passengers heading to Shenzhen Airport are advised to transfer to Line 11 (Airport Line) at Qianhaiwan station, which directly leads to T3, the only terminal in operation now. Airport East station of Line 1 is about 9 km (5.6 mi) away from the terminal building, and you can only take a taxi there to reach T3.
