Shenzhen Metro Line 12 (Nanbao Line)

Shenzhen Metro Line 12, also Nanbao Line, travels vertically through Bao’an and Nanshan Districts from Zuopaotai East to Songgang via 39 stations with a total length of about 48.61 kilometers (30.2 miles). 

As an important transportation line in western Shenzhen, metro Line 12 connects many commercial areas, such as the Sea World that attracts a large number of international visitors by accumulated Western cuisine, bars, and cultural and creative brands, and Nanyou area with high-end clothing wholesale markets, and scenic spots including Nantou Ancient City, Zhongshan Park, etc., as well as transportation hubs like Shekou Cruise Terminal. Exhibitors and business travelers can also reach Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center or Shenzhen World directly by metro Line 12. 

Meanwhile, it is the first sea-crossing tunnel among all Shenzhen metro lines. From Zuopaotai East, it runs eastward to Taiziwan, crossing about 911.98 meters (997.4 yards) under the sea. 

The whole one-way trip by metro Line 12 takes about 86 minutes at a cost of CNY 9. The interval is about 3m18s - 3m48s during peak hours and 5 minutes other time.

 1. Passengers of Line 12 don't reach Bao'an Airport after getting off at Airport East station, as it's 9 km (5.6 mi) away from the terminal building. You are advised to transfer to Line 11, that is Airport Line, at Nanshan or Fuyong station for flight.
2. It takes at least 5 minutes to make a transfer at large Nanshan, Fuyong, Airport East, and Songgang stations.
