Shenzhen Metro Line 13 is a necessary route for high-tech tour in Shenzhen. It connects key innovation hubs in the city such as Shenzhen Bay Industrial Zone, Houhai Financial and Business Center, Nanshan Technology Park, Liuxiandong Innovative Base, etc. via headquarters of many major corporations in China or their bases in Shenzhen like Xiaomi, Alibaba, DJI, ZTE, and Xunlei, earning it the nickname "Commute Express between Innovation Parks". 

Shenzhen Subway Line 13 spans 41.69 kilometers (25.91 miles) south-north among 26 stations, with Shenzhen Bay Port as the southern starting point, enabling visitors coming from Hong Kong to embark on their Shenzhen trip immediately after going through immigrations at the checkpoint. A whole single trip of metro Line 13 takes 67 minutes and charges CNY 8.
