Shenzhen Metro Line 3 (Longgang Line)

Shenzhen Metro Line 3, also named Longgang Line, travels northeastwardly from Futian Bonded Area Station to Pingdi Liulian Station via the city center. This line connects Futian and Luohu CBD and Longgang residential area, thus serving as the lifeline for commuters living in Longgang. Because of the commute function, it gets so crowded during rush hours on working days and is called Hell Line 3.

Multiple tourist attractions are scattered along Line 3, such as Ping An International Finance Centre, Lianhuashan Park (Lotus Hill Park), Shenzhen Museum, Litchi Park, Dongmen Pedestrian Street, Dafen Painting Village, etc. It also leads to transportation junctions like Futian Railway Station and Shenzhen East Railway Station.

Shenzhen Subway Line 3 includes 38 stations with a total length of 52.3 kilometers (32.5 miles). The interval in peak hours is 2min - 4m15s while 4m30s - 10min at other times on working days. The base fare for the ticket of Line 3 is CNY 2; for the 93-minute whole single journey, it charges CNY 9.

 Tips
1. Avoid getting on/off the metro train at Shuanglong, Buji, Jixiang, and Universiade stations with flocked passengers during peak times at 07:30‑09:30 and Futian, Shopping Park, Shixia, and Huaxin stations at 17:30‑19:30. You have to queue up for more than 10 minutes at the platform and be squeezed into the carriage finally.
2. Many stations of metro Line 3 don’t have toilets, like Laojie, Caopu, and those between Mumianwan and He’ao.
