Dunhuang Train Schedule

The city Dunhuang has only railway station for passenger transport.

As the second largest railway station in Gansu Province, Dunchuang railway station only specializes in trains from Dunhuang to Beijing, Yinchuan, Baotou, Hohhot, Lanzhou, Xi'an, Zhangye, Datong, Jiuquan, Tianshui and Jiayuguan. The railway station is about 12 kilometers (8 miles) from the city center, and only about 16 kilometers (10 miles) from Mogao Caves.

From the railway station, passengers can take city bus to Mogao Caves. The city bus departs every 30 minutes from 08:30 to 18:00 with the ticket fare of CNY 8 (USD1.1). Also, passengers can take a taxi to get to Mogao Caves which takes only about 20 minutes and costs about CNY 35 (USD 4.83).
