Xi'an - Dunhuang Train
Up to now, there is only one pair of normal speed trains available for passengers traveling between Xi'an and Dunhuang. They are running between Xi'an Railway Station and Dunhuang Railway Station, with a distance of 1,809 kilometers (1,124 miles). It takes about 22 hours / 24 hours for a single trip and costs around CNY 400 for a hard sleeper ticket.
There is no high speed train serving this route at present. If the timetable cannot meet your demand, transfer in Jiayuguan South or Lanzhou West is recommended. (Last Update on Apr 25, 2023)

Since there is only one pair of Xi'an - Dunhuang overnight sleeper trains, it is recommended to order the tickets as early as possible in case of being sold out in a short time.
Major stations along the way include Xianyang, Yangling, Caijiapo, Baoji, Tianshui, Longxi, Lanzhou, Wuwei, Jinchang, Shandan, Zhangye, Jiuquan, Jiayuguan, Yumen, Guazhou
Generally, there are 4 to 5 pairs of flights with the duration of 2 to 2.5 hours on usual days. It costs from CNY 400 to CNY 1,500 for one economy class seat in different times.

As a big hub along the famous Silk Road, Jiayuguan is worth visiting for travelers. Jiayuguan Pass, Overhanging Great Wall, The First Fire Tower of the Great Wall, and Wei-Jin Art Gallery are all wonderful attractions for travelers to have a visit. If you are not traveling in a hurry, do spend some time here.

I am a little concerned if it is possible to find sitting toilet on this K367 train?

00ReplyI did not used this train but other overnight trip. If you want sitting type of toilet, I suggest you to use soft sleeper. Wheelchair restroom can be find in one of the soft sleeper carriage usually. I did not find sitting type in hard sleeper carriages.

00ReplyThere are food for sale, simple food. I never see there is food or anything for sale at stopovers. As you cannot exit the stations, you cannot buy food at each stations. But you can take food of your own.
