  View Birds at Daming Lake
May is the perfect time for birdwatching at Daming Lake. As May marks the transition from spring to summer, numerous migratory birds, such as Siberian gulls and cormorants, stop over in Jinan to replenish supplies or for a short break. In addition, it’s time for resident birds such as egrets, black-crowned night herons and grey herons to breed or raise their yolk. A variety of birds are there waiting for birdwatchers.

 Appreciate May Flowers at Spring Parks
The spring parks have various flowers in full bloom in each spring month. May offers white fringe tree flowers at Baotu Spring, purple wisteria at Wulongtan Park, white hydrangeaceae and red and pink peony at Quancheng Park.
 1. The May Day Holiday is from May 1 to May 5 in2026 when thousands of tourists roll in the city and attractions are filled with loads of visitors, so try to plan your trip after it.
