Cherry blossoms are inordinately charming under Mt. Fuji, especially around middle April. In Arakurayama Sengen Park, Chureito Pagoda, the cherry blossoms in full bloom, and Mt. Fuji in the distance compose a beautiful scenery that you could have only seen on postcards. To the southern foot, Ryuganbuchi of Urui River with cherry blossoms along the riverbanks under Mt. Fuji is beyond your imagination.

Itchiku Kubota Art Museum is a must-visit under Mt. Fuji as well, for both the exquisite works and the well-designed yard by Itchiku Kubota. Moreover, annual Fuji Shibazakura Festival is held at Fuji Five Lakes (Fujigoko), and Fuji Motosuko Resort by Lake Motosuko is the top spot to admire colorful Shibazakura flowers all over the ground.
 

Tips

1. Wear a mask if have hay fever or sensitive to pollens when going around Mt. Fuji to appreciate cherry blossoms.

2. Cherry blossom season around Mt. Fuji is somewhat later than the peripheral places. It starts around mid-April, and lasts to the late days of the month. The blossom season can be verified by local cherry blossom forecast.

3. Fuji Shibazakura Festival may be the grandest event in spring or even throughout the year there, held from mid-April to mid-late May. Go there on a clear day, thus Mt. Fuji can come into your sight. Be prepared for crowds during the festival.
