With the opening of subway line 1 on 27th September, 2010, Chengdu has become the first city with metro system in western China. Line 2 started to operate on 16th September, 2012, and all stations had been opened by 26th October, 2014. As planned, another 9 lines will develop in the city which will make metro transport accessible to the city's East Railway Station, West Railway Station and Shuangliu International Airport. At present, only line 1 and line 2 are serving the public, while line 3, line 4, line 5, line 7 and line 10 are under construction.

 Line 1: Shengxian Lake – Guangdu

Ticket Fare
The price for the ticket of subway lines in Chengdu ranges from CNY2 to CNY5 according to the traveling stops. It means CNY2 for 6 stops; CNY3 for 10 stops; CNY4 for 16 stops; and CNY5 for 24 stops. According to this, the full price for subway line 1 is CNY4 and CNY5 for subway line 2.
