How do you get from Guangzhou airport to the city?
How far is Guangzhou Airport from the city? It is about 30 kilometers (19 miles) far away from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to downtown area. There are three traveling ways:
1. Metro line 3: about 30 minutes; CNY 2-10
2. Airport Shuttle Bus: around 50 - 120 minutes; CNY 6 - 57
3. Taxi: around 60 - 90 minutes; CNY 100 - 210 according to the distance
1. Metro Line 3 (North Extension)
Guangzhou Metro Line 3 is dedicated to link the Baiyun International Airport and the downtown area, covering Tianhe District, Haizhu District and Panyu Distrcit.

00ReplyActually, you can take subway to your hotel: Take metro line 3 to Jiahe Wanggang station, then transfer to metro line 2 to Railway Station, and take metro line 5 to Taojin station (Exit B), and walk east around 500m to the hotel.

I will be arriving at south railway station around midnight and have to catch a flight at 4:30 AM. What is the cheapest way for reaching the airport? I heard there is a night bus facility at Guangzhou.

00ReplySorry, there is no public transport available at that time. The shuttle bus night line only operate from airport to downtown area. Thus you only can take taxi and it costs around CNY180-CNY200.
