Day 1 Arrival in Hangzhou, Pick-up, Visit Peak Flown From Afar, Lingyin Temple & Hefang Street
Welcome to choose this 5 days Hangzhou and Huangshan tour by high-speed train to get back to nature! Upon arrival in Hangzhou, your private guide and the driver will pick you up at the airport or railway station, and then escort you to the hotel for check-in.
After that, kick off your Hangzhou exploration from Peak Flown From Afar. Over 1,700 years ago, an ancient Indian monk came here for Buddha spreading, inspired by its beauty that mirrored the hill of his homeland, thus giving the Peak its name, and built a temple for spiritual practice, which is the Lingyin Temple on the opposite side. Your guide will show you around some limestone caves and exquisite Buddha statues in these two sites.
Then, let’s stroll along Hefang Street, where centuries-old Chinese brands and historic buildings have witnessed Hangzhou’s thriving trade during the 12th and 13th centuries. Dive into local crafts, from scissors and sachet powder to paper fan and tapestry. Following that, take a 10-minute walk southwest to City God Pagoda, where you can overlook Hangzhou while savoring the local snack we’ve specially prepared for you - Lotus Root Starch, which has a translucent and smooth texture when brewed. At the end of the day, you’ll enjoy a private transfer back to your hotel.
► Activity Suggestion (at your own expense):
If you’re up for a self-guided nighttime, consider staying longer in Hefang Street, where red lanterns add to its night charm. Try street foods like Fried Dumplings and Crab Roe Noodles, or visit the intangible culture-themed Starbucks, kind of a small silk exhibition with draperies made of tie-dyed fabric craft fluttering in the air and a manual silk reeling machine. You can download the Alipay app and link your bank cards before the trip for cashless payment. Finally, a 15-minute taxi can take you back to your hotel.

Day 4 Yellow Mountain: Cable Car Up, Beginning-to-Believe Peak, Lion Peak & Bright Summit
After breakfast, your guide and the driver will escort you to the base of the Yellow Mountain. There is an old saying that “A trip to Yellow Mountain renders trips to other mountains unnecessary”, so imagine how many wonders it could bring: granite landscapes, strangely shaped pine-trees, rolling sea of clouds… For your comfort, please wear sturdy shoes and dress in layers to tackle the stone steps and changeable weather. Also, you can pack some snacks to recharge yourself along the way.
Upon arrival, let’s hop on a cable car up and hike to the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, offering the best views of limestone peak forest and pine trees twisting into sword-like or canopy-like shapes. Continue your hike past Peach Blossom Valley to Lion Peak, where a stone monkey keeps its watchful eyes over the swirling sea of clouds all day. Finally, you’ll reach the Bright Summit, Yellow Mountain’s second-highest peak at 1,860 meters (6,102 ft.), offering breathtaking panoramic views that need no filters, especially as the golden sunset kisses the turbulent clouds. The famous Flying-over Rock can also be seen in the distance here.
Later, your guide will help you check into a hotel perched atop the Yellow Mountain.
