Tour Highlights
West Lake
The West Lake, surrounded by willows and dotted by islets and lotus flowers, undoubtedly represents the beauty of Hangzhou. With rolling hills as its backdrop, this mirror-like lake is beautiful and suitable to take photos from any angle. The joyful sight of the 'Three Pools Mirroring the Moon' is even printed on the back of the CNY 1 note, which should not be missed.
West Lake looks gorgeous in the misty rain.
Lingyin Temple
The Lingyin Temple is the oldest temple in Hangzhou with a history of over 1,700 years. It is also regarded as a treasure of the Buddhist culture, housing various historic relics from different dynasties. A maverick monk named Ji Gong (1148-1209) took vows in the Lingyin Temple. Your guide will tell you some interesting stories about this renowned monk who was unkempt with broken shoes and hat, and usually violated Buddhist commandments.

Six Harmonies Pagoda
Six Harmonies Pagoda
Built during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), the Six Harmonies Pagoda has been guarding the running Qiantang River for over 1,000 years. Seen from the exterior, it is a 13-storey pagoda about 60 meters (200 feet) tall, with an iron bell hung under each of the 104 cornices of the tower. However, people only need to climb 7 floors inside to reach the top, where you will get the best view of the Qiantang River.

I was very pleased with the Shanghai day tour. The diver was punctual and had a steady ride. The guide was very friendly and outgoing. I was deeply impressed by her humorous explanation. She told us a story about a maverick monk named Ji Gong when we visited Lingying Temple. It’s very interesting! I enjoyed the short but excellent day tour.

The Shanghai day tour to Hangzhou was leisurely. The itinerary had no intense activity and my grandparents liked it. We spent a relaxing and enjoyable day!
