Tour Highlights
West Lake
West Lake undoubtedly represents the beauty of Hangzhou. With rolling hills as its backdrop, this mirror-like lake is surrounded by willows with their branches waving in the wind and dotted by several islets and blooming lotus flowers. West Lake can provide you beautiful scenes for you to photograph from every angle. The joyful sight of the 'Three Pools Mirroring the Moon' is even printed on the note CNY 1.
West Lake looks gorgeous in the misty rain.
Lingyin Temple
This is the oldest temple in Hangzhou with a history of over 1,700 years. It is also regarded as a treasure of the Buddhist culture, housing various historic relics from different dynasties. A maverick monk named Ji Gong (1148 - 1209) was ordained at Lingyin Temple. Our guide will tell you some interesting stories about this renowned monk who usually wore rags , was unkempt, and violated Buddhist commandments.

Six Harmonies Pagoda
Six Harmonies Pagoda
Built during the Northern Song Dynasty (960 - 1127), the Six Harmonies Pagoda has been guarding the running Qiantang River for over 1,000 years. Seen from the exterior, it is a 13-storey pagoda about 60 meters (200 feet) tall, with an iron bell hung under each of the 104 cornices of the tower. You only need to climb up 7 floors inside to reach the top, which will provide you the best view of the Qiantang River scenery.

The guide was very humorous and got along well with every tourist. She also shared her travel experience with us and I learned a lot. She gave us a detailed explanation of each scenic spot. The whole schedule was tight but everyone had enough rest and free time. The proper transportation arrangement saved us a lot of time. In a word, it was a perfect Hangzhou day tour from Shanghai.
