 General
A Shanghai Public Transportation Card makes your travel in Shanghai more convenient and economical. It could be used to pay the transportation fare of almost all kinds of vehicles in Shanghai, including taxi, bus, tourist bus, long-distance bus, subway, maglev, ferry and truck.

If you drive yourself, Shanghai Public Transportation Card can be used to pay at the parking lots, parking meters, gas stations and toll highways. You can also use the card to pay the auto repairing fee at some designated stores.

The card is applicable to some buses and taxis in several cities in southern China such as Suzhou, Wuxi and Changshu in Jiangsu Province, Hangzhou in Zhejiang, Fuyang in Anhui and Nanning in Guangxi.

 Detailed Application Scope
 Tourism Transportation
Shanghai Public Transportation Card can be used to buy tickets of some tourist bus lines inside Shanghai city, to the outlying islands or to cities in the nearby Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces including Nanjing, Suzhou, Yangzhou, Wuxi and Hangzhou.

Designated ticket offices are as follows:
1. Shanghai Sightseeing Bus Center (SSBC)'s ticket offices at Shanghai Grand Stage (Shanghai Indoor Stadium), Yangpu Indoor Stadium, Hongkou Football Stadium and Shanghai South Railway Station;
2. Shanghai Qiangsheng International Travel Service Co., Ltd.'s branches at No. 920 of West Nanjing Road and No. 12 of West Ninghai Road.

 Taxi
All taxis in Shanghai (except the non-Dazhong taxis running on Chongming Island)

 Bus
Over 800 bus lines of Shanghai

 Long-Distance Bus
Shanghai Long-Distance Bus Station: No. 1015, North Zhongshan Road, Zhabei District

 Maglev
Ticket fare of the fast maglev train running between Pudong International Airport and Longyang Road Station of Subway Line 2 can be paid by Shanghai Public Transportation Card.

 Ferry
Yangfu Line, Lujin Line, Dongdong Line, Zhounan Line, Qiqin Line, Taigong Line, Nanlu Line, Jinding Line, Tangdong Line, Mindan Line, Xiening Line, Water Bus Line, Wusong Ferry Station

In Shanghai (Luwan, Xuhui, Jing'an and Huangpu Districts) there are over 200 parking spaces with parking meters which could be paid by Shanghai Public Transportation Card. The following table shows the roads along which these parking spaces are located:

 Gas Station
You can fill the car up and pay the gas fee by Shanghai Public Transportation Card at over 100 gas stations in Shanghai. The following are some of them in different areas of the city for your reference:

Tip: Besides transportation, certain kind of Shanghai Public Transportation Cards can be used in paying the public utility fee spent on water, electricity and gas.
