Chaoshan Railway Station

Chaoshan Railway Station is centrally located between three cities, Shantou, Chaozhou and Jieyang. The distance is around 19 miles (31 km) to Shantou, 10.5 miles (17 km) to Chaozhou, and 18 miles (30 km) to Jieyang. Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport is about 6 miles (10 km) from Chaoshan Railway Station.

 Major Rail Lines from Chaoshan to

Chaoshan Railway Station consists of two one-storey terminal buildings and squares on the north and south sides. There are ticket offices in both terminals, and passengers can enter and exit from both as well. The two terminals are connected by an underground passageway.
 With your ID document in hand, mostly your passport, you can go through the security check and enter the terminal building. Afterwards, find the waiting area and platform of your train by checking the information on the LED screen in the waiting hall. The ticket check and boarding usually begin around 15 minutes before departure. If you do not have a ticket, purchase one at the ticket office before entering the station.
 On arrival, passengers will be directed to the exit channel. Both North and South exits can be used. Taxi and city buses are both available near the south one.

By Taxi
A taxi can be taken to transfer to the downtown area of the three cities mentioned above. There is a taxi pick-up area on the South Square. The taxi fare would be around CNY 60 to Chaozhou without traffic problems, around CNY 100 to Shantou, and around CNY 100 to Jieyang.

 

How to transfer between Chaoshan Train Station and Jieyang Chaoshan Airport

Airport shuttle bus is available between 9:05 - 20:30 with an interval of about 30 minutes. It takes around 20 - 30 minutes on board.
  Ticket Office:
Ticket Office No. 1 is located on the west side of the North entrance, and Ticket Office No. 2 stands at the west side of the south entrance. Usually, there are 5 ticket windows in service at both ticket offices. There are also a few automatic ticket machines available; however, the machines only support ticket purchase and reimbursement receipt collection for Chinese citizens.
