Shanhaiguan Railway Station
Shanhaiguan Railway Station is only 1 mile (1.5 km) away from the Shanhaiguan Great Wall and about 4 miles (6 km) from Laolongtou Great Wall, thus it is a perfect station for travelers to these two famous historical sites. To the Qinhuangdao city center, the distance is about 11 miles (18 km).
Address: at the junction of Zhanqian Road, Huochanghou Street and Dongshuiguan Street.
There are high speed trains to and from cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Xian, Shenyang, Qingdao, Dalian, Jinan and Harbin etc. Non-bullet trains are also available and reach cities including Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dandong, Shenyang, and Manzhouli.

Shanhaiguan Train Station terminal is a one-storey building. The entrance is in the middle of the building facing north. Next to the entrance on its west is the ticket office. To the west of the ticket office is the exit.
Entering the building, passengers can find waiting area for their trains. There is also a left luggage office in the waiting hall; the service fee is CNY10-20 per piece for one day based on the luggage size. Small shops for snacks and drinks can be found inside as well.
By taxi: There is a taxi pickup point right in front of the exit. Travelers are advised to take an official taxi in light blue at the pickup point. Avoid the unlicensed taxis on the front square in case of being overcharged.
By bus:
There are buses No. 25, 302; Special Tourism Bus No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 in service. The bus stop is set up along the Zhanqian Road, Huochanghou Street and Dongshuiguan Street.
How to get to Shanhaiguan Great Wall from Shanhaiguan Train Station
Only 1 mile away, passengers can walk along Zhanqian Road for about 400 yards, turn right to South Guancheng Road and walk about 170 yards, then turn left to Diyiguan Road and walk about 700 yards to the scenic area.
How to get to Laolongtou Great Wall from Shanhaiguan Train Station
Passengers can take bus No. 25 to the Laolongtou directly. The duration is about 30min. A taxi ride takes around 20 minutes and costs about CNY15 to 20.
How to get to other places in downtown from the Shanhaiguan Railway Station
To Longevity Mountain: Passengers can take the Special Tourism Bus No. 4 to get there. The bus ticket price is CNY3 per person. However, the Special Tourism Bus No. 4 is usually only available during peak seasons.
Except the tourism bus, travelers can take a taxi to the Longevity Mountain as well. The duration is about 25 to 30 minutes and the taxi fare is around CNY30.
To Qinhuangdao city center:
There are 2 buses connecting the station with downtown Qinhuangdao.
Bus No. 25: Travelers can take this bus from the Shanhaiguan Railway Station directly to downtown Qinhuangdao. The final stop is Sidaoqiao Coach Center.
Bus No. 33: Passengers can first walk to Tianxia Diyiguan Bus Stop which is about 670 yards away, and then take this bus to downtown Qinhuangdao. The final stop is Maoye Market in (Hualian Mansion).
Except buses, passengers can also go for Qinhuangdao by rail. There are over 50 rides a day. The duration is 15 minutes to 40 minutes and ticket price is CNY5.5/14.5 for a second class seat, CNY6.5/22.5 for a first class seat, and CNY6/8 for a hard seat.
