Guangzhou Metro – Young Tram Lines

 

Young Tram Haizhu Line 1, THZ1 for short, is the first modern tram line in operation in Guangzhou. Located in Haizhu District totally, THZ1 stretches from Canton Tower to Wanshengwei in the east-west direction, passing by Modiesha Park, Party Pier, Canton Fair Complex, and Pazhou Pagoda. Different from most of metro stations, all 9 stations of THZ1 are overground along the 7.7-km (4.8-mi) route. It takes you 25-30 minutes to complete the entire trip, and CNY 2 per ticket. Passengers can purchase tickets at self-service machines at stations.

Young Tram Huangpu Line 1, abbreviated as THP1, is the second tram line in Guangzhou. 14.4km (8.9mi) long in Huangpu District, it roughly runs in a west-east direction and covers Xiangxue, Yonghe, Changlingju, Changping, Shuixi Village, and New Huangpu Political and Cultural Center areas. There are 19 stations upon the ground, including one elevated aloft.
