Guangzhou Metro - Automated People Mover System (APM)

Zhujiang New Town Automated People Mover System, APM for short, is an underground and automatically operated line of Guangzhou Metro. It mainly serves the CBD Zhujiang New Town in Tianhe District, covering nine stops from south to north. Due to the short distance, it only takes about 11 minutes to finish a trip on APM. At both of its ends, passengers could exchange between APM line and the city Subway Line 3.

The APM only has two separate carriages at present, which could transport 276 passengers every time. Aiming to hold passengers as many as possible, each of the carriage is equipped with four seats only. It is designed to be three carriages in the future.
