How to Buy Terracotta Warriors Tickets

Four ways for visitors to buy Terracotta Army Tickets

This is the easiest way to get a ticket for the Terracotta Army. As only 65,000 tickets are on sale per day, booking ticket through online travel agency is a nice idea if you wish to travel independently. In this way, you can book a ticket as early as possible for the intended visiting date to assure your entry. It also saves time for lining up at the ticket window. The entire booking process is hassle-free and customer-friendly.

2. Book a Terracotta Warriors Tour through TravelChinaGuide

If you are not a skillful travel expert, you can consider booking a tour including the visit to Terracotta Army so that you don't need to worry about the ticket availability and can reach the site comfortably by clean vehicles. An English tour guide will be on your accompany and interpret the stories about the terracotta figures, which is of great help and brings fun to your visit.

3. Book via the ticket windows at the scenic spot

Since a majority of tickets are sold online, limited tickets are available at the ticket windows. Visitors need to get to the scenic area early and be prepared for a long queue. There is possibility that you cannot get the ticket because ticket sale stops once it reaches the top limit, especially during public holidays like the golden week from October 1 to 7 and the summer vacation in July and August. When travelling in peak seasons, it’s not advised to buy Terracotta Army ticket on the spot.

4. Book through the official website of Terracotta Warriors

Tickets can be booked as early as 7 days on the official website ahead of the visiting date, but this is almost not feasible for foreign visitors. It’s because that the website is in Chinese only, a Chinese cell phone number is required for registration and the visitor's Chinese ID number needs to be put in.

Do I need to buy a Terracotta Army ticket in advance?

Visitors had better book a ticket or guided tour from TravelChinaGuide in advance of the intended travel date in order not to spoil your trip. Though the ticket is only released seven days in advance, you can make the order as early as you want.

You can buy the ticket on the spot but it is suggested to book it in advance. Because the queue is very long in the peak season, especially in summer holiday. There are relatively few tourists in winter, but you also need to queue to buy tickets. There is no limit to the number of visitors so there is no case of tickets sold out.
