Since a majority of tickets are sold online, limited tickets are available at the ticket windows. Visitors need to get to the scenic area early and be prepared for a long queue. There is possibility that you cannot get the ticket because ticket sale stops once it reaches the top limit, especially during public holidays like the golden week from October 1 to 7 and the summer vacation in July and August. When travelling in peak seasons, it’s not advised to buy Terracotta Army ticket on the spot.
 

Tickets can be booked as early as 7 days on the official website ahead of the visiting date, but this is almost not feasible for foreign visitors. It’s because that the website is in Chinese only, a Chinese cell phone number is required for registration and the visitor's Chinese ID number needs to be put in.
 

Visitors had better book a ticket or guided tour from TravelChinaGuide in advance of the intended travel date in order not to spoil your trip. Though the ticket is only released seven days in advance, you can make the order as early as you want.
