TravelChinaGuide sent a small group of company staff from Xi'an to Chongqing for a training tour to the Yangtze River. Their Yangtze cruise started on a Victoria fleet ship, The Victoria Empress, at 21:00, June 6, from Chaotianmen cruise terminal in Chongqing.

The sightseeing began the next morning with a shore landing and a visit to Fengdu Ghost City involving a mountain climbing or a cable-car ride. The highlight of the Yangtze River cruise came on the third day, as the ship sailed through the three gorges. After, there was a shift from the cruise ship to a float along Shennong Stream in Badong County. The stream rises on the southern slope of Shennongjia Nature Reserve. The cruise ship sailed through the Three Gorges ship lock at night. After a morning landing on the last day at the Three Gorges Dam Site on the last day, the group disembarked at Yichang.

A training group to Yangtze River is sent every year to allow company staff to obtain first-hand experience and collecting the latest Yangtze cruise information to assist in planning qualified services for our customers.

Without doubt, the performances proved to be successful and excellent. The entertainment included dancing, singing, comic dialogues, a fashion show and poetry recitations. The dance performances are deserving of special mention, as they were truly fantastic. The colorful presentations ranged from an Indian dance, a hot American style dance and an exciting Spanish bullfight dance. Meanwhile, the comic dialogues had rich themes based as they were on Chinese historical or classical stories, such as Emperor Qin Shi Huang and the Assassin and the Peacocks Fly to the Southeast. The gala also had interactive sections including games, lucky draws and an interview with our employees.

Finally, the gala ended in a jubilant atmosphere and everyone felt extremely excited, as not only had we received fine performance awards or had gifts from the lucky draw but also because we had communicated with each other by sharing our artistic talents. This memorable event has done much to enhance the trust and spirit of the entire TravelChinaGuide staff.
