Turpan Train Schedule & Stations
Currently, there is one railway station in service in Turpan of Xinjiang, Turpan North Railway Station. It is an important stop on the Lanzhou-Xinjiang High Speed Railway, mainly serving high speed trains to or from Lanzhou, Xining, Kumul, Urumqi, Shanshan. Also a few non-bullet ones are operated there, including those to/from Xian, Lanzhou, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Jinan, Chongqing and Beijing.
Turpan Railway Station is currently closed for renovation and is expected to be completed by the end of October 2026.

Address: Daheyan Town, Gaochang District
The station is a little bit far from downtown, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) away. To reach downtown from the station, passengers need to walk about 550 yards (500 meters) to the nearby Daheyan Bus Center, and then take a bus. The bus departs around every 30 minutes or once fully occupied; ticket price is CNY 11 and duration is about an hour. Taxi should be another option and it takes about 50 minutes and CNY 90-100; if you share the taxi with others, it is around CNY 20-30 per person.
How to get to famous sites from Turpan Train Station
There is no direct public transport to main scenic spots from the station. Passengers need to go to the downtown by the above mentioned bus, and then head for the attractions sites.
Karez System Museum: Take bus No. 1 from Turpan Bus Center to Ya Er Xiang Township Government and then change to Bus No. 3 to get there.
Emin Minaret: From the Bus Center, travelers can walk about 700 yards to Da Shi Zi bus stop and take bus No. 1 to Da Zhai Road. It is about 2,000 yards (1,900 meters) away from Emin Minaret.
Grape Valley: Upon arrival in downtown, walk about 1,500 yards (1,400 meters) to the East Gate of Ancient City, and then take bus no. 4 to get there.
Flaming Mountain: You may take a taxi to get there after arrival at the downtown Bus Center. The taxi fare would be around CNY80 by meter.
Ancient City of Jiaohe: After the bus trip to downtown, you may take the bus No. 1 to the final stop, and then take a taxi at about CNY 20 or a horse cart at about CNY 30 to get there. If by taxi directly from downtown, it takes about CNY 30-40.
North Railway Station:
You are recommended to take a taxi. It costs CNY 80-100 per taxi and CNY 20-30 per person if you share the taxi with others.
As public transport is not very well developed there, car pool or car rental is a frequently used way of transfer. It may cost around CNY400-500 per day. You may also join in a day tour as well to save you time and trouble.

The North Station is about 9 miles (14 kilometers) away from downtown area which is much closer in distance compared with the Turpan Railway Station. Travelers can take the bus No. 202 to downtown. By taxi, it would be around 20 to 30 minutes and cost about CNY 30.
How to get to Major Sites from Turpan North Train Station:
Turpan Jiaohe Airport: Airport shuttle bus travels between airport and the railway station every day which takes about 10 minutes and is free of charge. Also, you can go on foot by following the signs on the ground. It takes about 10 minutes also.
Karez System Museum: It takes around 15 minutes by taxi and costs around CNY15. You may also take the bus or a taxi to the downtown first and then take bus No.3 to get there.
Emin Minaret: Travelers can take bus No. 202 to Da Shi Zi and then change to bus No. 1 to Da Zhai Road, finally walk 2,000 yards to get there. If by taxi, the duration is about 30 minutes and costs around CNY40.
Grape Valley: It is about 9 miles between and takes around 20 minutes by taxi. The taxi will cost around CNY30. Travelers may also transfer to downtown first and then go for there by bus No. 4.
Flaming Mountain: It is about 25 miles between. Travelers may take a taxi or rent a car for this trip. The fare is around CNY90-100.
Ancient City of Jiaohe: It takes around 30 minutes by taxi and costs around CNY30-40. Travelers may also transfer to downtown first, arrange the luggage at the hotel, then take bus No. 1 to Ya Er Xiang Township Government and finally take a taxi to get there.
