Tip:
Urumqi South Railway Station is a little far from Diwopu Airport, but direct airport shuttle bus is available. To the city center area near the Red Hill, the South Station is closer in distance, and many direct buses can be used. A taxi would take around 15 - 20 minutes or so without traffic problem.
 

There are over 27 pairs of normal rides a day. Although the normal Z, T, K rides take around 1.5 to 2 hours on the way, a little longer than high speed type, they are still good complementarities, especially for travelers who need to depart at early morning or late night. For this short trip, hard seats can be considered as well.
