Zhangye West Railway Station operates high speed trains to/from Xi’an, Lanzhou, Urumqi, Jiayuguan… and normal speed trains to/from Xi’an, Zhengzhou, Lanzhou, Xining… It is about 3 kilometers (2 miles) from city center, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park, about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Zhangye Railway Station about 25 kilometers (15 miles) from Zhangye Ganzhou Airport.

Major Rail Lines from the station to: Passengers can take city bus 22, New 1 and New 2 to bus stop High Speed Railway Station West.
Take city bus New 1 to bus stop Tianyuan Residential Quarter, then go east for about 200 meters (220 yards) to Xihuan Road and walk north for about 200 meters (220 yards) to get to the Long Distance Bus Terminal.
Passengers can take Long Distance Bus to Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park. The long distance bus departs every hour from 9:00-12:00 or at 15:30 and 16:30, costing CNY 10 and taking about one hour to get there.
Passengers can charter a car to travel to Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park and a four-seat car costs about CNY 200 per day.
Taking a taxi to go there costs about CNY 60 and takes about 50 minutes.
Take city bus New 1 to Anmin Residential Quarter (Anmin Xiaoqu), then walk to nearby Electricity Power Supply Bus Stop (Gongdiansuo) and transfer to city bus 1 to the railway station.
If go there by taxi, the ride may take about 25 minutes and cost about CNY 30.
There is no direct airport shuttle bus to the airport. Passengers need to take city bus New l to Xijie Police Station, then walk west for about 200 meters (220 yards) to Electric Power Building (Dianli Dasha) and take the airport shuttle bus there. The airport bus is flight schedule oriented and passengers need to take the airport bus at least two hours prior to their flight. The ticket fare is CNY 20 and the travel time is about 1.5 hours.
A direct taxi ride may cost about CNY 40 and the duration is about 35 minutes.
Take city bus New 1 to Anmin Residential Quarter, then walk east for about 200 meters (220 yards) to Xianfu Street and walk north along the street for about 700 (770 yards) to get there.
If take a taxi, the fare is about CNY 15 and it may take about 10 minutes to get there.
Take city bus New 1 to Xiangyong Hotel, then walk north for about 300 meters (330 yards) to get there.
Passengers can also get there by taxi. The fare is about CNY 15 and the duration is about 12 minutes.
Normally, Wooden Pagoda Temple and Giant Buddha Temple are visited together because of the short distance between them.

ReplyHi, we are a group of 4 with kid planning to travel by train from Zhangye to Xi'an
We heard some passengers without seats can stand in carriage too? Is this true? So if we book second class seats there could be passengers standing in the corridor between our seats? Please kindly advise!

00ReplyIndeed there could be other passengers with standing tickets in second class carriage. I am not sure which carriage these passengers will be arranged at or freely in all second class carriage. Anyway, there is such possibility.

00ReplyYes, and some shops can do it too, but it is not recommended to have valuable thing in your luggage. The price is always CNY10 or 20
