How long of a layover do I need to transfer on separate tickets

I will fly from Shanghai to Beijing on Eastern China Airlines. I then have a separate ticket on United from Beijing to San Francisco. I have four hours between these flights. Is this enough time to get my bags, transfer to terminal 3 and go through immigration and customs before my flight?

I am flying from Ulaanbaatar to Beijing next month and have booked a room at Aerotel hotel
Is the hotel easy to find on arrival ?

Do you land in Daxing Airport? Because the hotel is very close to the Beijing Daxing Airport and you can easily reach by Bus Line 1.

Rest areas at Capital Airport

Hi. I will have a long layover from 5:30am to 8:45pm between connecting flights to Korea but I don't have a visa for China. Is there a lounge I can use? Thank you.

There is an Hourly Lounge near Boarding Gate E10 in the International Departure Hall.

BTW, you are eligible for 24-hour visa free transit. Just apply for a temporary stay permit, then you will be allowed to leave the airside, in which case you can also have a rest in a nearby hotel.
