Downtown Sightseeing Bus – 3 Day Lines & 3 Night Lines

The old Beijingers call the downtown sightseeing trolley bus Dangdang because of the sound made by the bronze bell in the front. Dang-dang Sightseeing Line 1 and Line 2 both run in a loop and the buses are decorated in the old Beijing style. Line 3 is served by modern double-decked buses. Bilingual audio tour guide on each bus introduces the passing attractions and their history both in Chinese and English. Maps of Beijing and guidebooks are available onboard for tourists’ convenience. The several night lines are also in the old Dang-dang style, allowing visitors to appreciate the night piece of this ancient city.

Since you take young kid and don't have too much layover time, I think you can go to Olympic Park: take shuttle bus line 6 to Datun stop, then take taxi to it.

There is no direct bus available. You can take Airport Express from the airport to Dongzhimen and then transfer to Metro Line 13 to Huoying Station. After that, walk east about 500m to Huangtudian Railway Station to take S2 train to Yanqing. There are free shuttles buses operating between Yanqing Station and Expo.

Sorry, I didn't find any sightseeing bus nearby. You are suggested to take bus no.505/563 to Wofosi Bus Stop. Then walk north around 850 meters to find Botanical Garden.
