Wuhan bus Public Bus
Public bus lines in Wuhan cover all the areas in Hankou, Wuchang and Hanyang Districts at a very low price of CNY1 or CNY1.2. Exact change is required.

 Tourist Bus
For backpackers or budget travelers not booked with a group, an easy way to see the city is to take the Special Tourist buses with special routes designed to cover almost all the key city tourist spots. In all the Three Towns in the city, buses with the initial number of 4 are special tourist line buses.

We recommend No. 401 and No. 402 buses, as they cover most of the famous attractions in the city. No. 401 will take you to Yellow Crane Tower, East Lake, Heptachord Terrace (Guqin Tai) and Guiyuan Buddhist Temple (Temple of Original Purity). If you are interested in the provincial museum, take No. 402. An all-day ticket costs CNY5 and the basic ticket is CNY2.

Bus No.401 from 7:00 - 22:00 with intervals of five to ten minutes
Wuhan Passenger Port --> Hanjiang Walking Street --> Heptachord Terrace (Guqin Tai) --> Guiyuan Buddhist Temple --> Yellow Crane Tower --> East Lake (Plum) --> East Lake (Milling Hill) --> East Lake (Bathing Place)

You can take bus/subway/taxi since the transportation is very convenient. Would you mind providing the address in downtown area? Then I can find the detailed public transportation for you.

1. To yellow crane: You can take metro line 3 from Dongfeng Company Station to Wangjiawan Station, and transfer to metro line 4 to Shouyi Road Station (Exit D3), then walk north of 1km to it. It takes around 1 hour with CNY6.
To Han street: You can take metro line 3 from Dongfeng Company Station to Wangjiawan Station, and transfer to metro line 4 to Chuhe Hanjie Station (Exit B), and walk north of 400m to it. It takes around 1 hour with CNY6.
2. To North Guangzhou station: It is impossible to take taxi. You should take high speed train. But there is only one train at 11:50 to North Guangzhou. So you better take high speed train to South Guangzhou Railway Station. You can choose CNY463.5 or CNY738.5 seat.

You can make full use of the layover to tour around Han Zheng Street, Hanjiang Walking Street and Cultural Street in Xianggang Road. You can find many nice local snacks and interesting souvenirs. Remember to go back to the airport at least 2 hours in advance before the departure.

You are not advised to exit the airport for sightseeing because of the tight time. At first, you have to reserve 1.5-2 hours for the transfer to your next flight. You are advised to stay at the airport.
