How to Travel between Shanghai and Wuhan

Shanghai is about 825km (515mi) east of Wuhan. The available means of transport between these two cities are plane, high speed train, normal speed train and long-distance bus. Flying usually takes 2 hours, and the ticket fare of economy class is around CNY600 - 2,800. A high speed train will take 3.5-6.5 hours, and its cheapest ticket only costs CNY315. Counting the time consumed getting to/from the airport, a high speed train can be your best choice. In addition, normal speed trains take at least 9 hours.
