Shanghai Sightseeing Bus

The Shanghai sightseeing bus is a strong recommendation for travelers who desire a one-day or two-day city tour. Passengers who have a few hours layover in the city can also take the hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus to enjoy a short visit. There are two types of open-top sightseeing double-deckers: City Sightseeing Bus with four loop lines operated by Spring Tour Bus Company, and Shanghai Bus Tours, formerly the Big Bus Tours, with three lines.

With 24-hour and 48-hour tickets, both allow unlimited rides during the validity period of your ticket. Tourists can enjoy a free audio guide on Shanghai sightseeing buses in eight languages – Chinese, English, Korean, French, Spanish, German, Russian, and Japanese.

You are advised to first visit Yuyuan Garden, then the Nanjing pedestrian street and finally to see the night view of the Bund. You can take the metro line 10 from Yuyuan Garden to Nanjing pedestrian street, taking about 20 minutes. Then walk about 15 minutes to the Bund.
Asked by Sebastian from GERMANY | Dec. 03, 2018 07:12Reply
I would like to take the Shanghai Big Bus Tours 48h COMBO ticket (300¥).
1) Where can I buy the mentioned ticket?
2) Where can I get onto the bus, is there a bus stop near Jing'an?
3) Is there also a map to show which places the Big Bus Tour covers (like the map for City Sightseeing)?

Thanks in advance!

You can buy the ticket after you get on the bus at their all stops, such as People's Square and the Bund. The bus will stop at Jing'an Temple and you can get on or off. You will be given a free map when you get on the bus.

How long will you stay in this city? If you have enough travel time, you are advised to buy the 48-hour ticket for three former bus lines: Green line, Blue Line and Red Line. These lines cover the attractions you visit.

If you have a tight schedule, you can buy the 24-hour bus ticket with unlimited rides and transfers between line 1 & 2. And you can visit Yu garden, People's Square, French concession, ocean aquarium, the Bund and Oriental Pearl Tower
