Starting from the Oriental Square in the south of Wangfujing Street, you will ride westward along the East Chang'an Street. The road is wide and clean with lush mature trees on both sides. Then you will pass the Working People's Culture Palace, also called Taimiao, which lies in the east of the Tiananmen Square. It used to be the imperial ancestral temple in Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1644 - 1911) dynasties. Now it is used to hold all kinds of cultural activities.
Continue to ride westward; you will reach the Tiananmen Tower and the Tiananmen Square.
