Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Having finished luggage retrieval and Customs clearance, you will meet our guide outside Customs of the airport in Beijing. After a warm greeting, the guide will escort you to the hotel and help you check in. The rest of the day is free for you to recover from jet lag or loiter on the nearby busy city streets.
Day 2 Beijing
The Great Wall, Beijing
Your memorable one-week China tour package literally starts today! Our guide will pick you up at the hotel after your have breakfast and then transfer you to Tiananmen Square, which is located in the heart of Beijing City. After taking some good pictures, you will walk through the Tiananmen Tower with the company of our guide to visit the Forbidden City, the royal palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368 - 1911). It is divided into Inner Court and Outer Court with the former as the living place of the imperial family while the latter for emperors to handle state affairs. You will visit some essential halls and learn more details about this grand palace from your guide.

At noon, you will be served with an a la carte lunch of authentic Chinese food at a nice restaurant, which values CNY150.00 per person and is included in our price. A visit to the Temple of Heaven will be arranged in the afternoon. It was the sacrificial altar during the Ming and Qing dynasties for emperors to pray for good harvests. Then, our guide will accompany you to roam around the Hutong alleys, the traditional residential blocks of the locals, some of whom still live in their quaint courtyards.

Day 3 Beijing
Temple of Heaven
Your 8-day private China tour will be highlighted by today's visit to Mutianyu Great Wall. After a big breakfast, we will drive 1.5 hours to reach the foot of Mutianyu to start the conquest of this Great Wall section. Climbing some steps to the cable car station, you will take a cable car up and down the wall, while if you want to be adventurous, or have more fun, you can also choose to take an open chairlift up and a toboggan down. Standing on the Great Wall, no one will not be amazed by the spectacular scenery in facing you. The endless, winding wall lies on the mountain ridges, like a huge dozing dragon who could take off at any moment.

Lunch is on your own today. You may have some food at a nearby restaurant by yourself. Our guide is glad to give you some recommendations.

On the return trip to downtown, we will drive by the National Stadium and you can enjoy its brilliant appearance at a distance. Then you will pay a visit to a local market.

Day 4 Beijing to Xi'an by High Speed Train
Terracotta Army, Xi'an
After breakfast, you will meet our guide in the hotel lobby and then be escorted to the Summer Palace. Three-quarters of this imperial garden is occupied by the Kunming Lake with over 3,000 elaborately decorated buildings by the lake, including the Long Gallery, Marble Boat, and Seventeen-Arch Bridge. It is a pleasant experience to walk through the garden and sightsee the exquisite pavilions along the way.

After having your own lunch, you will be transferred to the train station to catch a high speed train to Xi'an. Upon arrival, our local guide will pick you up at the train station and take you to check in at the hotel.

Day 5 Xi'an
Having fun on the City Wall
Your private Xi'an guided tour will start from the Terracotta Army Museum. As the funeral object of the Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259 - 210 BC), its huge construction work lasted for 38 years and over 8,000 life-size terracotta soldiers, horses, and bronze chariots have been unearthed from the pits so far.

Leaving the museum, you will have lunch at a nearby restaurant on your own. Then, we will drive back to downtown city and visit the 600-year-old City Wall, the best-preserved city wall of China with a total length of 14km (9mi). After that, head to the tranquil Great Mosque, a historic Chinese palace-style building complex that perfectly blends Islamic culture with Chinese culture. Go outside of the mosque, it would be a different scene. The thriving Muslim Street is full of hawkers and tourists, and smells of delicious local foods. You will spend rest of your time here to explore.

Day 6 Xi'an to Shanghai by Flight
This morning, continue your Xi'an tour to the Shaanxi History Museum, where you will appreciate more than 370,000 precious relics from the prehistoric ages to 1840, including bronze wares, gold and silver articles, as well as tomb murals. After that, you will spend a leisurely time sauntering around the shady Jianfu Temple, and visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built for keeping the Buddhist scriptures and Buddha figures brought back from India by the eminent monk Yijing during the Tang Dynasty.

At noon, we will arrange for you a visit to a local family and treat you to authentic home-cooked dishes. After that, our guide and driver will transfer you to the airport and help you board the flight to Shanghai, the last city of your China Golden Triangle tour. Upon landing, our Shanghai guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to check in at the hotel.

Day 7 Shanghai

Our guide will meet you at the hotel after breakfast, and then transfer you to Shanghai Museum to admire rare ancient handiworks collected throughout the country. After that, you will be led to Yu Garden, the residence of an official during the Ming Dynasty. Dozens of elegant pavilions and halls were elaborately built in the limited area of the garden. After visiting there, we will have a farewell lunch at a fancy restaurant, which values at CNY150.00 per person and is included in our price.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to the Bund Area to take a one-hour Huangpu River cruise from the nearby dock. After disembarking at Bund, you will be left some free time to admire exotic western-style buildings of the 19th century there.

Our guide will then accompany you to a cultural block named Tianzifang. You can not only appreciate old-fashion Shikumen residences there, but also roam around artistic workshops, retro stores, themed cafés, and bars along the lanes.

Day 8 Departure from Shanghai
Your pleasant 8-day private China tour will draw to an end today. Our guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your leaving flight. Bon voyage!

    Our 8 days China tour was fairly satisfactory! Ancient Xi’an, magic shanghai, and luring Beijing owning traditional and modern elements all brought us different traveling experiences. The whole itinerary was interesting and abundant. Thanks to our guides, they did a good job and their wonderful interpretations showed us vivid cities. A meaningful tour and I would recommend it to my friends!

    The 8 days tour of Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai was well arranged and went happily and smoothly. The whole organization was full and reasonable. We had enough time to visit these three cities. Very thankful for the excellent explanations of our guides, we appreciated many famous spots and felt the different customs. It was really a worthy trip! I would recommend it to my friends.
