Humen Railway Station

Located at the north part of Humen Town, Dongguan City, this station is one of the important termination Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed Railway whose whole running distance is 142 km (88 mi). Put into use since December 26, 2011, this station has a distance of about 8 km (4.9 mi) to the town center.

What differentiates this station from others is that its platform of bullet trains is on an elevated bridge which is around 18 meters (59 feet) above the ground. So it is hailed as “a railway station in the air”.

The station consists of three levels. The first level serves as the ticket hall and the middle level is the waiting hall, both of whom are under the elevated bridge. On the bridge lies the third level, which is the platform for boarding and leaving the bullet trains.

At present, there is metro line 2 shuttling between Dongguan Railway Station and Humen Railway Station daily. Besides, bus nos. 8 and 10 also connect this station with other parts of the town.

Yes, indeed the times at station is much longer than time on the train itself. If you do not have to take a train at appoint time, you can just buy a ticket with closest departure time at station. This maybe faster, but surely, in this case, you may need to check the ticket availability more often online.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Usually we suggest clients to prepare about 1 hours for luggage collection and immigration check at the airport. If for domestic flight, 45min may needed. To transfer from airport to South Railway Station, it takes about 1.5 hours on the way by metro. To have enough time for ticket collection at railway station, it is better to reach the station at least 1 hour in advance. Therefore, it seems that you need G825 at 9:53pm. Since it is the final ride of a day, it is better to book it in advance to guarantee a seat. Hope the information above can help you.
