If the train timetable does not meet your schedule, you may take Guangzhou-Shanghai Flight. more than 50 flights are available which are scheduled from 06:45 to 22:00, taking about 2.5 hours to travel between the two cities. The air fare costs around CNY 300 and CNY 1,000.
