Booking service was excellent; ticket was delivered to hotel on time. I can recommend booking China Train tickets via TravelChinaGuide without reservation.

Everything was done very correctly and we were very pleased with your services! We only had a little trouble picking up tickets, we were not sure to which counter we can go to - a more detailed guide or a map of counters in the Shanghai train station might be useful. At the end we went to a random counter and it all worked out okay, we recieved our tickets.
Train ride was awesome, we were very happy!

I booked three high speed train tickets from Shanghai to Nanjing one week prior to my arrival in Shanghai. Online booking was really easy. The hotel delivery service for the tickets was great. The tickets were waiting for me when I arrived. Your service was as excellent! I will recommend your service to my friends and colleagues.

Travel China Guide is an outstanding service, from beginning to end, and again and again. We used TCG for train tickets, flights inside China, and more. Their info guides were very helpful, including step-by-step instructions on how to complete the ordering process, picking up your tickets at the train station (in Mandarin), and getting to the train on time. Thank you Travel China Guide.

I find the Travel China Guide make organising my business trips in China exceedingly easy. For the areas around Shanghai (Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou, Zhenjiang) where I travel train is the most convenient option, and the Travel China Guide website makes it very simple indeed to arrange the train trips.
Searching for the correct train, selecting the fare and ordering the tickets is a quick and easy online process, and the fact that you hold my passport details so I do not have to re-upload every time is a great help. I then arrive at the first station on my itinerary 20 - 25 minutes before my train time and am able to collect all the tickets for my trip at one time at the one ticket window and do not have to queue up for tickets any further during the trip. This is a great help!! I cannot overstate the importance of being able to do this.
The actual process of catching the train, finding the correct platform etc is simple and very similar to catching an aeroplane. The signage is always in English as well as Chinese, and finding the train number / carriage number / seat number on the ticket is not difficult. Experienced travellers should encounter no difficulty.
In summary I would highly recommend both the Chinese high-speed train system and Travel China Guide as the simplest and most convenient way of both organising and travelling between cities, especially in one province, when doing business in China.

Thank you for your follow up email. Everything was ok, I loved my journey, the train was very comfortable and the staff in train spoke some English. But when I arrived at hongqiao train station in Shanghai I was a little bit confused where I needed to go and where to collect my ticket. There are so many windows, everything is in Chinese....very hard to understand. Maybe you should mention that a passenger needs to go to the departure area, and after the control of the bags and stuff go to a window....mention which one - there are so many and its really hard to find the right one. But everything else I guess was ok. Will further use your services!...More

Firstly the interactions with Travel China Guide were easy. The tickets were delivered promptly ( even more quickly than was required - but better safe than sorry - the hotel concierge had to search back through their records for the delivery, which was almost immediately after the purchase :)
The website presents clear and very useful information on the train travel . I used printed copies of relevant sections ( how to read a train ticket , and Nanjing Train Station) in our travels. The information certainly took a lot of 'fear and doubt' out of the experience and the actual journey was very enjoyable and efficient experience....More

The booking process was straightforward and the timetables easy to understand.
The prices were transparent and very reasonable. I arranged for my tickets to be delivered to my hotel in Shanghai for when I arrived in China and they were there waiting for me when I checked in at the hotel reception all present and correct.
Communication throughout from TravelChinaGuide was outstanding and I really felt my business mattered to them. The bullet train public transport system in China is outstanding. I’ve travelled on trains all over the world including in Japan and I’d say the bullet trains in China are second to none. I had chosen to travel in economy but had plenty of room and a very comfortable reclining seat. The train was quiet, comfortable and extremely fast peaking at over 300kph [196mph] and the train punctuality was outstanding. The ticket pricing was also very reasonable for the journey distance, especially compared to the very expensive, old, slow and unreliable train infrastructure we have to suffer in the UK. All in all a fabulous experience and one of the best ways to see China in my opinion. Thoroughly recommended! Well done and a big thank you to everyone at China Travel Guide for your help and assistance. You will be my first port of call for any future internal travel requirements I have in China....More
