I have been issued a work visa in China which is valid up to my passport's validity (Sept 2010). However, since I have to renew my passport in March (at least six months before expiry), I would like to know if my visa which is stamped in my old passport is still going to be honored with my new passport.
I am confused because based on past work assignments abroad, valid visas stamped in my old passports were still honored with the new passport but I am advised that this doesn't apply in China. Please help!
Any advise on this one will be greatly appreciated.
Nov. 21,2009 04:43 Mr.Benjamin replied:
Your Chinese visa will expire automatically once your passport is renewed.

Hi. I want to go to Hong Kong soon. I am a philippines passport. Somebody tell me i need to have a letter of support to even check out of the philippines. They will sell me a letter that is necessary for me to travel to Hong Kong that says I have somebody to take responsiblity for me in Hong Kong. Is this really necessary. I thought Philippines could get a landing visa in Hong Kong

if you will stay in Hk for less than 14 days, no visa would be needed actually.
