Where to Eat - Restaurants Near the Terracotta Army

Although there are many restaurants both inside and outside the Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum Site Museum, the quality of nearby restaurants varies. To avoid a disappointing meal that could affect your visit, we usually recommend heading back to the city center for food. If you prefer to eat near the site, here are some fairly reliable choices.

The restaurant also features cultural elements such as Chinese shadow puppetry performances. A Terracotta Warrior-themed mural at the entrance provides a great photo opportunity, especially for visitors wearing Han Chinese clothing. Chinese Hamburger

It specializes in the Chinese hamburger, a traditional Shaanxi dish. The dish features a grilled wheat-flour bun filled with seasoned braised meat. Along with their signature item, they also offer cold rice noodles, a refreshing option, and rice served with meat and vegetables on top, providing visitors with an easy way to try a variety of local flavors in one meal.

Tong Sheng Xiang's main offering is pita bread soaked in lamb or beef broth. As a chain brand, it provides an easy option for trying local snacks. A must-try is their cold rice noodles, a signature dish that has made Wei Jia particularly popular. Another popular menu item is the Chinese hamburger. In addition to these specialties, the menu also offers items like beef burgers and various rice set meals, usually served with a side of soup, appealing to those looking for a more balanced meal.

Around the museum area, various snack stands and convenience stores offer quick bites such as roasted sausages, fresh juices, ice cream, candied hawthorns, and pastries. Convenience stores also sell bottled water, snacks, and simple pre-packaged meals. These options are suitable for a temporary energy boost, but keep in mind that their prices may be higher than usual; it is advisable to purchase in moderation.
 1. Be cautious of restaurants where staff aggressively solicit customers at the entrance; those with very few diners are also best avoided.
2. Please note that the museum ticket is valid for one entry only. If you plan to eat outside the museum, it's best to do so after your visit.
3. Most restaurants accept cash, WeChat Pay, and Alipay. It's advisable to carry some cash as a backup.
4. The lunch rush typically occurs between 11:30 and 12:30. You can adjust your schedule for an earlier or later lunch to avoid long waits.
5. Shaanxi cuisine may be robust. If you prefer milder flavors or have a sensitivity to oily or salty food, you can ask for "less oil and salt" when ordering.
