Beijing to Lijiang Train

Beijing to Lijiang through trains will not be operated in a short time.

But with a transfer in Kunming South Railway Station, passengers can easily travel from Beijing to Lijiang by high speed train.

Traveling by the above way, you’d better stay in Kunming for one night and have a good rest. Time permitting, you can also take this opportunity to visit Kunming in one or two days. Kunming has always enjoyed the fame as Spring City, because it’s as comfortable as spring time all the year round. It is attracting numerous travelers to make a tour every year because of its beautiful and peculiar natural landscape, such as the Flowers & Birds Market, Stone Forest, and Green Lake Park.
 There are around 5 pairs of flights shuttling between Beijing and Lijiang on a daily basis. A ticket price of an economy class seat ranges from around CNY 700 to CNY 1,200. It takes about 3.5 - 4 hours to complete a single ride.
 You can take a flight from Beijing to Kunming. There are about 20 flights every day and the flight time is about 3.5 hours with ticket price from CNY 1,700 to CNY 920. Upon landing, take subway line 6 to Juhua and change to line 4 to the South Railway Station. The whole journey is about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Or take airport shuttle bus South Railway Station line to get there directly with a duration of about 1 hour.
 Lijiang is a place where most ethnic groups live together, highlighting a strong ethnic characteristics. It attracts many tourists every year. There are many famous scenic spots, such as the Lijiang Old Town, Baishui River (White Water River), Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and other beautiful natural attractions. There you can not only enjoy the pleasant natural scenery, but also feel the unique human landscape. 
 On the return trip from Lijiang to Beijing, you still need to change in Kunming. There are over 15 high speed trains from Lijiang to Kunming South and 4 Kunming South to Beijing West high speed trains, whose whole duration on the train is 14-15 hours.
