Baotou Railway Station is the biggest comprehensive railway hub in Inner Mongolia. It is about 7 kilometers (4miles) from Baotou city center, 20 kilometers (12 miles) from Baotou East Railway Station,17 kilometers (11 miles) from Baotou Donghe Airport, 64 kilometers (40 miles) from Wudangzhao Lamasery, 50 Kilometers (31 miles) from Meiligeng Scenic Area, and 9 kilometers (6 miles) Saihan Tara Park.

Address: Aerding Street, Kundulun District.  Lying along Beijing - Baotou, Baotou - Lanzhou, Baotou - Shenmu and Baotou - Shijiazhuang railway lines, the railway station operates high speed trains to/ from Beijing, Zhangjiakou, Xi'an, Hohhot and Ulanqab. Baotou Train Station also operates normal speed trains to/from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi’an, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Chongqing, Kunming, Harbin, Shenzhen, Yinchuan, Shenmu, Urumqi and etc.

Baotou Railway Station is one ofthe biggest railway station with advanced equipment and services in north east China. The railway station has five waiting rooms which are in the first and second floor; the one on the first floor is especially for bullet train passengers.   Wudangzhao Lamasery
Passengers can take city bus 50 to get to Baotou East Railway Station, then take bus 7 to get to the lamasery.Bus No. 7 only departsat 08:00 and 10:05, and returns at 12:40, 14:40 and17:50.The ticket fare is CNY20 and it costs about 2 hours to get there. Not all bus No.7 get to Wudangzhao Lamasery, so passengers needs to confirm before boarding.  

Passengers can also charter a car to Wudangzhao Lamasery. The rent fare for a 5-seat car is CNY500/day.

 Meiligeng Scenic Area
Passengers can take bus 1 to Credit Cooperative of Southern Suburbs (Nanjiao Xinyongshe), then transfer to bus 9 in the same bus stop and get off the bus in Meiligeng.

 Saihan Tara Park
Passengers can take bus No. 2/64 to Xitu International Hotel (Xitu Guoji Dajiudian), then transfer to bus No. 19 and get off in Saihan Tara Park.
 The railway station now has diversified functional areas such as, Entertainment Area, Business Office Area, Ethic Commercial Area, Service Area and etc. 

Ethic Commercial Area: Passengers who wants to purchase the specialties ofInner Mongolia can go to the Ethic Commercial Area. In this area, passengers can also dine in some restaurants.

Business Office Area: In this area, passengers can handle their emergent business affairs. They can use free Wi-Fi, print and fax documents.
