Shanghai – Nanchang Train vs. Flight

Direct Shanghai to Nanchang flights take only about 1.5 - 2 hours for a single journey. But if counting in the time consumed to/from airports which are further to downtown than railway stations, the total time on the way has no big difference with the traveling from Shanghai to Nanchang by train, especially by high speed train. Moreover, a flight ticket is expensive than a rail ticket. Also, frequent flight delays may affect the trip performance.
