Booking experience through TCG booking center: Everything went smoothly. No complaint.
Don't get the hard seats for overnight trains. Hard sleepers are the best for comfort and price. Soft sleepers are not necessary because they do not add much to the comfort, but costs a lot more.

The service was fantastic. They answered all my queries. They emailed me a copy of the tickets as soon as they were purchased. The tickets were at my hotel when I first checked in. They followed up with the hotel to make sure the hotel had my tickets and then they followed up with me personally to ensure I got the tickets.

Although you need to pay more for this booking and delivery service, it well worth the money to secure my ticket without the hassles. They do all that for you. It's still cheaper than flying and you get to see the landscape and meet local Chinese people. I would definitely use this service again.

If I travel in China again I will take more trains for sure. I love looking out train windows. Staffs were very friendly. The food was good and safe. If you need coffee bring your own as they don't have any.
