Suzhou - Dalian Train

Currently there are 2 pairs of trains running between Suzhou and Dalian. A high speed train G1252 runs daily from Suzhou North Railway Station to Dalian North Railway Station. In addition, there is a pair of normal trains available for both directions.

For business travelers and travelers with tight schedule, flight is a frequently used backup option. However, since there is no airport in Suzhou, travelers need to go to Shanghai first by bus or by rail. Then travelers need to transfer to Shanghai Pudong International Airport. A direct flight from Pudong Airport would take only around 2 hours for the whole journey. Although a full price flight ticket for economy class is a little expensive than second class seat on high speed ride, during off-seasons, there can be very good discount offered by airlines. With good discount, flight can be a favorable option sometimes as well.

Since G1252 originates from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and only stops in Suzhou North Station for 2 minutes, passengers are advised to find the correct waiting area in advance and get fully prepared for boarding. Usually the waiting area for appointed carriages will be marked on the platform floor.
