Beijing to Chengdu / Chengdu to Beijing: Best Ways to Travel

Chengdu is about 1,850 kilometers (1,150 miles) southwest away from Beijing. The best way to travel from Beijing to Chengdu or from Chengdu to Beijing is by direct flight, spending around 3 hours and CNY 600 to 1,500 for Economy Class Seat. The travel time is 7.5-11 hours. G87 and G89 are faster than the other three. For budget travelers, taking high speed train is a prior choice.

 From Beijing West Railway Station to Chengdu West Railway Station and Chengdu East Railway Station, there are three normal speed trains running. For a good rest, you are recommended a sleeper instead of a seat class.

 Chengdu to Beijing flights are in service from 07:30 to 22:00 each day, departing from Chengdu Shuangliu Airport or Tianfu Airport to Beijing Capital Airport or Daxing Airport. Generally speaking, it takes about 3 hours onboard. The fluctuated flight price ranges from CNY 700 to 1,500. Taking a flight is a recommended choice for travelers who have a tight schedule.
 5 Chengdu to Beijing high speed trains are running from Chengdu East Railway Station to Beijing West Railway Station at 07:00, 08:55, 10:21, 10:56 15:00, with a duration of 7.5-10 hours. Among the five trains, G88 and G90 are faster but more expensive.

 From Chengdu West Railway Station or Chengdu East Railway Station, there are three normal speed trains running to Beijing West Railway Station. They depart at 8:10, 10:02 and 23:04 from Chengdu and arrive at Beijing  at 12:36, 21:09 of the next day and 05:18 of the day after the next day. This transportation can help you save hotel expenses. For a good rest, you are recommended a sleeper instead of a seat class.

 Firstly, you can take a plane from Chengdu to Beijing.
 If arriving at Beijing Capital Airport, then take Capital Airport Express to Dongzhimen Station. Next, take subway line 2 to Jianguomen Station and transfer to subway line 1 to Tian’anmen Square East Station, Exit B, then you can spot the two sites. 
 If arriving at Daxing Airport, then take Daxing Airport Express to Caoqiao, transfer to line 10 to West Jiaomen, get off at Xidan and transfer to line 1 to Tia'anmen Square East, Exit B.
