 With reduced rainfall, the humidity in October drops to a more comfortable level, averaging 70%. The air feels drier and fresher compared with summer. The air visibility improves, skies are often bright blue, and distant mountains appear extremely attractive.
 Sunny days dominate Guilin’s October, with average sunshine periods of 5 hours per day. The UV index may reach 9 on clear days, so sun protection remains important. Around midday, direct sunlight can feel strong and slightly harsh for photography. For photography enthusiasts, early morning and late afternoon provide softer light and better views.

If you want to catch a sunset or sunrise view, Xianggong Mountain is highly recommended. This only requires about 10 minutes of stair walking to reach the viewpoint.
