I heard there is a rail pass can be used repeatly for an appoint route like Shanghai-Hangzhou/Nanjing. So it should support Kunshan as well as it is a stop along the way. The pass can be get and recharged of some offices of Bank of China or the station counter. You can go to a local station and ask this information

Sure! If you are not hurry in time, it is no problem to get a ticket at station at the time of travel. The closest station to you should be Shanghai Station and there are more than 60 trains a day to Kunshan. It should be no problem to get a ticket.
