Recently, train, especially high speed train is the most popular way to access Wuyishan. There are totally 2 stations serving this city of "Natural Arboretum" where glorious history with profound culture can be traced back to Song Dynasty (960 - 1279).
Wuyishan Railway Station serves non-bullet trains to cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Fuzhou, Tianjin, Guiyang and Shenyang.
Wuyishan North Railway Station stands on Beijing - Fuzhou High Speed Railway, is the closest high speed railway station to Mount Wuyi. Address: Zhanqian Avenue
This station is the closest one to the downtown area, about 2.5 miles (4.5 km) in distance. It is about 5 miles (8.3 km) away from the North Station, 34.5 miles (55.5 km) away from the East Station and 8.5 miles away from the airport. To the Mount Wuyi, it is about 9.5 miles (15.5 km) in distance.
There are buses No. 2, 6 (branch), 8 and 12 available for passengers to transfer to the other places including the famous Mount Wuyi.
How to get to Mount Wuyi from this station
Travelers can take the bus No. 6 (branch) to Chishi Xincun and then walk to the North Gate of the scenic spot. The bus duration is about 40 minutes and ticket fare is CNY3.
Taking a taxi would take around 15 minutes and the reference taxi fare is around CNY40. Please note that sometimes the taxi may not go by meter and it is advisable to negotiate the price beforehand.
How to get to other places from this station
To Wuyishan North Train Station: Travelers can take direct bus No. 2 or No. 8 to transfer between these two stations.
To Wuyishan Airport: Travelers can take bus No. 6 (Branch) to Chachang and then walk about 550 yards to the airport.

This station is the closest bullet train station to Mount Wuyi, and thus the most recommended option. It is about 8.5 miles (14 km) from the North Entrance of Mount Wuyi and 13.5 miles (22 km) from the South Entrance.
The ticket office is in the south side of the station building; passengers can collect online booked tickets or purchase ticket there by using their ID document like passport. Entrance is in the middle of the building through which passengers can enter the waiting area for boarding.
After arrival, passengers can follow the direction signs to access the underground passage to reach the exit, which is located in the north side of the building.
City buses available here include No. 7, 8, 9, 12 and 15. Taxis are also convenient for transfer.
How to get to Mount Wuyi from Wuyishan North Railway Station
Travelers can take bus No. 9 to the North Gate of Mount Wuyi directly. Duration is about 65 minutes. One can also take bus no.7 to the South Gate of the scenic area. Duration is about 80 minutes.
The taxi may take around 25 minutes and cost around CNY 70 to the North Gate. The price would be around CNY100 to the South Gate by taxi and the duration is about 35 minutes.

Travelers can take bus No. 7 or No. 9 to the airport directly.
