On the morning of the second day, head to Changsha Orange Island which is located at the center of the Xiangjiang River and is about 10 miles long. The narrowest spot on the island is only 40 meters wide while the broadest place reaches 140 meters. Here you will find a park with thousands of orange trees and hence the name. You can see Yuelu Academy to the west and Changshapo on the east from the island. Afterward, continue to ride passing Leifeng and Bairuopu towns to reach Ningxiang county and on arriving, have a short stay there and heading northwest to get to Yiyang (roughly 100km from Changsha). On route from Ningxiang county to Yiyang, you should pass by Henglongqiao, Cangshuipu and Longguangqiao counties in turn. Upon arrival in Yiyang, find a local hotel to relax. (If you want to hang around in Yiyang, you can visit some scenic surroundings such as Peachblossom Lake 35km to the south of Taojiang county, Xiunv Hill located at Xiushan county, and Longquan cave in Anhua county and so on.)
