 As the beginning of summer, Guizhou weather in June is quite cool compared with many other places in China, with the average temperature being around 20-25 degrees Celsius (68-77 degrees Fahrenheit) in June. The highest temperature is not more than 33℃ (91.4℉) in Qiandongnan, and lower than 36℃ (96.8℉) in Tongren in June. In higher-altitude places in northwestern Guizhou, it is even cooler. For instance, the temperature of Weining, Bijie often hovers around 13-20℃ (55.4-68℉) in June. You need a thick quilt or wear warmly when going to sleep at night there.
Guizhou climate sees June the rainiest month in a year. There are plentiful rain showers during June, scattering in about 17 days. It occurs so suddenly that the weather forecast can’t tell sometimes, thus an umbrella is the must-have. It won’t rain for long, not impacting your itinerary. Besides, you can breathe the extremely fresh air after a rain, and marvel at the fairyland scenes that mist and clouds shrouding peaks on mountains. 

But continuous heavy rain is also possible on some days, prone to cause natural disasters like landslide in mountainous areas. Thus, it is not recommended to travel into the mountains during the period.

However, sunshine hours are not long all the same, which is 5.2h on average. Even so, protection from the sun is of great importance there for the high elevation. The ultraviolet index is 5 – the highest of moderate level, and it can be as high as 12 sometimes in the eastern part – the extreme level.
 

 According to Guizhou climate in June, you can wear summer clothes matched with a thin jacket. If it’s not raining, it’s advised to put on a sun-protective clothing on the top of T-shirt. If it’s raining, you can change into a sports jacket or thicker overcoat. Casual pants and comfortable sneakers are proper, too; waterproof shoes are better.
