What to Wear in Guizhou in June?

According to Guizhou climate in June, you can wear summer clothes matched with a thin jacket. If it’s not raining, it’s advised to put on a sun-protective clothing on the top of T-shirt. If it’s raining, you can change into a sports jacket or thicker overcoat. Casual pants and comfortable sneakers are proper, too; waterproof shoes are better.
For girls, you can wear a dress in the cities especially when the weather is relatively fine, but it’s not advised if you go to attractions in rural areas.
 
Tips:
1. Remember to take an umbrella and raincoat with you. Rainboots or waterproof shoe cover can be taken into consideration.
2. Cuffed pants can be more convenient on raining days, and pants in dark colors are stain resistant in such a case. Dark-colored and cuffed pants are also good in muddy Zhijin Cave.
3. Mosquito repellent is also necessary in Guizhou with overgrown vegetation in summer.
4. Sunscreen, sunhat, etc. should be on your packing list.

Guizhou is a popular summer resort, especially the western part. If you plan to visit Guizhou in 2026, Zhijin Cave is absolutely a cooling attraction. Huangguoshu Waterfalls, as abundant rainfall result in the large water volume, is very magnificent to visit.
 
Tips:
1. As there is a lot of heavy rains, some attractions may be temporarily closed. Pay attention to local dynamic weather and attractions’ updates.
2. Rain storms have a certain impact on the transportation, especially where is all winding mountain roads.
3. Don’t stay outdoors if encounter a thunder storm, especially don’t stay on the summit of a mountain.
4. Dragon Boat Festival holiday brings a little tour peak to Guizhou in June (June 19th 2026), which is companied with slight larger visitors flow and higher prices.
