Shanghai - Xiamen Train

Currently, there are usually 21 pairs of trains a day running between Shanghai and Xiamen. Among them, 20 pairs are high speed G and D trains taking about 5.5 - 8.5 hours, and only one pair is normal type which takes much longer time of 23/24.5 hours. Every Friday to next Monday, there are another 2 overnight high speed D trains for the trip from Xiamen to Shanghai.

Except rail travel, flight is another option for the transfer between. The flight usually takes only around 2 hours but is normally higher on ticket price. If good discounted is offered, the price can be very competitive as well. Travelers can check both ways of transfer for a better arrangement.

Is it easy to reach Orange Hotel Select at Zhongshan Road from Xiamen Station?
How about from the North Station?

It is not very far from the main station, maybe only CNY15 by taxi. If you will reach North Station, you may consider metro line 1 to Zhenhailu and then walk to the hotel from 3B exit. Taxi would costs around CNY75 for this trip.

Which stop will you depart from? But anyway, usually the first subway starts around 6:30 am to 6:40am.

The ticket price difference on G1653 and D3201
May i know why there is a price difference between G1653 and D3201? Is there any difference for the seats and service?

It is not the seat and service issue but the train type and running route. Some times the price is higher on G types, the fastest bullet ride. Also, the G and D runs on different routes but finally will reach Xiamen North Station.
