Ningbo Railway Station

Ningbo Railway Station is the main railway station in the city whose history can be dated back to the year of 1959. It is about 2 miles (3 kilometers) to Tianyi Square (city center), 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) to Tianyi Pavilion and 6.8 miles (11 kilometers) to Ningbo Lishe International Airport.

The station is also called South Railway Station by local residents as it is located outside of the south gate of the city.

As an important railway hub, it has trains to/from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Guilin, Nanjing, etc.

 The station is mainly made up of three parts: South Square, North Square and the main building.

There are stops for city buses and parking lots for private vehicles at both north and south square. The South Coach Terminal, about 390 meters (427 yards) away from the south exit is in service now, operating coaches to/from Shanghai, Pudong Airport, Shanghai Disneyland, Xitang Ancient Town, Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Zhoushan, Zhuji, etc.

 How to get to other sites from the railway station:
 To Tianyi Square:
Take metro line 2 to Chenghuangmiao station, Exit D out. Then walk about 650 meters (711 yards) to the square.

 To Tianyi Pavilion:
Take metro line 2 and transfer to line 1 at Drum Tower station. Leave from Exit D, and then walk around 560 meters (612 yards) to the destination.

 To Airport:
Take metro line 2 to the airport directly in about 0.5 hours. It runs at 6:00 - 22:40 with a duration of about 4 - 6 minutes.
